Launched in February 2003, Ready is a national public service advertising (PSA) campaign designed to educate and empower Americans to prepare for and respond to emergencies including natural and man-made disasters. The goal of the campaign is to get the public involved and ultimately to increase the level of basic preparedness across the nation.
Ready Ventura County
In partnership with FEMA and the Ad Council, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services localized the Ready campaign in 2011 to assist Ventura County residents in preparing for, responding to and recovering from a local emergency or disaster within our community. The Ready Ventura County message remains consistent with the national campaign: Get a Kit. Make a Plan. Be Informed. Get Involved.
