VENTURA COUNTY PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER MEETINGS

The Ventura County Public Information Officers (PIO) Group is comprised of public information officers throughout Ventura County, as well as representatives from local fire departments, law enforcement agencies, non-profit and volunteer organizations, schools, military, special districts, cities, and county agencies.

Ventura County Public Information Officers meet on a quarterly basis to discuss current incidents and events, announce training opportunities, and network with other Public Information Officers in Ventura County.

EMERGENCY PLANNING COUNCIL (EPC)

PUBLIC INFORMATION & EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Public Information & Educations Committee is a 12-member advisory committee whose mission is to lead a unified effort in coordinating and improving public education and information before, during, and after a local emergency. These efforts are achieved through a partnership of cooperation and collaboration of public information officers representing government, non-government, and the private sector.
