MISSION STATEMENT

The Emergency Planning Council is an advisory body whose mission is to lead a unified effort in improving disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery countywide.  These efforts are achieved through a partnership of cooperation and collaboration with all levels of government, non-government and the private sector.

As an advisory committee to the Emergency Planning Council (EPC), the Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for determining and overseeing the on-going process of EPC strategic planning and prioritization.

The Ventura County Emergency Preparedness Council Plan Development and Review Committee is established to ensure the standardization and interoperability of disaster and hazard plans developed by and for Ventura County jurisdictions and agencies.

Infrastructure is an advisory committee whose mission is to lead a unified effort for the purpose of emergency management, planning, and coordination among those agencies (govrenment/non-government) involved in managing critical infrastructure and lifelines throughout the county.

The Emergency Planning Council Mass Care and Shelter Committee is responsible for effectiively planning for the care and shelter of the public during a large-scale emergency or disaster.

The Logistics Committee is an advisory committee of the Emergency Planning Council (EPC) whose mission is to lead a unified effort for the purpose of emergency management, planning, and coordination among those agencies and organizations (government/non-government) involved in managing critical logistics assets throughout the county.

 

 

The Emergency Communications Committee is an advisory committee to the EPC whose mission is to lead a unified effort on coordinating and improving disaster recovery, business continuity and interoperability of all telecommunications technologies before, during, and after a local emergency.
